Head level airbag protects all occupants in a side-on collision, an ideal addition to the side-on collision protection facilities and side airbags.

• Multitronic® Transmission

• “Symphony” Radio

automobile construction: its continuously variable design combines the advantages of a manual
transmission, with the practicality of an automatic transmission. With an unlimited number of possible
transmission ratios, the engine speed is always maintained at an optimum level for torque and fuel
consumption.

The Audi A4 protects all passengers with driver and front passenger frontal and side airbags and
SIDEGUARD® head airbag curtain for front and rear passengers. The airbag technology complements the
side-on collision absorbing aluminum beams in all four doors and bodyshell reinforcements at the B post.

• Trapeziodal-Link
New advanced rear suspension.
Keeps the handling largely neutral, with excellent dynamic stability and smoothness. For reduced weight,
the trapeziodal links are hollow aluminum casting. The wishbones and track rod are of lightweight steel
construction. This design permits excellent road handling and comfort.
